Starch-free production -

clean and hygienic

A customized, starch-free production process was established for the manufacture of these new fruit gummy varieties. This prevents cross-contamination of the various active ingredients and offers the necessary flexibility for rapid product changes and the manufacture of smaller production batches. Starch molds are replaced by silicone or polycarbonate molds. This requires specially adapted gelatin grades. Alternative gelling agents often have some disadvantages that negatively affect the result. Gelatin offers high compatibility with active ingredients and controllable release profiles, while formulations can be developed very easily, e.g. for pH and dry matter adjustments. With CONFIXX™, GELITA presents an innovative gelatin specifically tailored to the starch-free process.
